Retired senior scientist selected for the “Distinguished Service Award”


Hyderabad: Retired Senior Scientist and Nuclear Fuel Complex (NFC) Metallurgist, MNV Viswanath has been shortlisted for the Distinguished Service Award for 2021 by the Indian Institute of Metals (IIM), Kolkata.

The service award will be presented during the Indian Institute of Metals’ Platinum Jubilee celebrations, to be held in New Delhi on November 14. growth and maintenance of the professional institution, according to a press release.

Viswanath worked as a Senior Scientist in the NFC Quality Assurance Group for four decades and has many awards under his belt. The scientist is a life member of numerous professional bodies, including IIM, ISNT, INS (Indian Nuclear Society) Academy of Science, Technology and Communication (ASTC) and Telangana Academy of Sciences (TAMS), the statement added.
