ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi praised the Ehsaas program team during their visit to the One Window Ehsaas center at Sitara market in Islamabad on Wednesday and said the service is the first of its kind in history from the country.
The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant (SAPM) for Poverty Reduction Dr Sania Nishtar and other officials welcomed the President during his visit to the center.
The one-stop-shop offers a wide range of services, including ATMs of partner banks for Ehsaas cash payment, NADRA office for biometric verification and offices for different programs under Ehsaas operations. The center also has a well-equipped training room, a survey registration desk, a retreat room for women, etc.
She briefed Arif Alvi on one-stop-shop operations under Ehsaas umbrella at the center, integrating all benefits and services for 14 different target groups.

The President reviewed the services offered there and also met with the beneficiaries.
He was informed that beneficiaries of different Ehsaas programs will no longer need to visit different offices as they could now benefit from all services under one roof.
“It is encouraging to see that all Ehsaas services are accessible in the facility in a well coordinated manner, and this is a true demonstration of a welfare state,†President Alvi said.
Praising the integration of all Ehsaas services in one place, he said it was the first time in the country’s history that such a service was provided to unprivileged citizens.

He also congratulated Dr Sania and the Ehsaas team for successfully carrying out several programs with full transparency.
On the occasion, SAPM Dr Sania said One Window Ehsaas centers will be in all districts and at tehsil level across the country for beneficiary facilitation.
