Launch of the year price goes to Pump & Pantry for her “Pumped Up Rewards” program, which has a strong focus on fuel savings. The program was launched in conjunction with the brand’s 50th anniversary celebration and required guests to register as loyalty members in order to enter a raffle to win a trip to Disney World as well as a Classic 1971 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Once registered, member can earn entries on every visit as well as bonus entries when purchasing sponsored food and beverages. Pump & Pantry received over 3.5 million admissions by the end of the summer. By the end of 2021, Pumped Up Rewards had exceeded its targets on several measures; visits, spend, spend per visit and penetration all improved month over month. Additionally, the loyalty base has allowed the brand to partner with its vendors to offer savings each month across various categories.
The Exceptional customer experience price goes to Maverik – First stop of the adventure. Maverik has become the first convenience store brand in the nation to allow customers to add their Adventure Club loyalty card to Apple Wallet. Adventure Club Loyalty Cards leverage Apple Pay and Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to allow customers to pay, earn and access rewards securely and seamlessly at more than 390 Maverik stores in 12 states, all at the touch of their iPhone or Apple Watch. . This experience is available to customers both at checkout in the convenience store and when paying at the pump with an iPhone or Apple Watch.
The Business impact price goes to Pump N Pantry for her Pump N Pantry Perks loyalty program, which includes Paytronix loyalty, online ordering and a white label app. Launched at all 14 stores in rural Pennsylvania, the program had 6,000 registered customers as of April 2022. There are 11,000 active cards and 2,500 app downloads. Customers can access the program through their mobile app, online or with a physical card. Online orders and payments are integrated with the benefits program so members earn club rewards and benefits no matter how they shop. Since the Pump N Pantry Perks program launched in January 2021, online orders have soared to 14% of all deli foodservice sales, which include pizza, subs, burgers and other items. Paytronix technology has also facilitated both drive-thru and curbside delivery, which cater to people in a hurry and don’t want to order at a kiosk and then wait for it to be ready.
