New Industrial Gate to Back Line Products Manufactured in GCC States

The Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council Chambers of Commerce (FGCCC) on Sunday launched the first-ever official integrated digital platform designed to support all Gulf businesses and factories and promote products made in the Gulf states.

FGCCC Secretary General Saud al-Meshari confirmed that the newly created portal is part of a series of platforms launched by Chambers to follow the trend of digital transformation and facilitate means of joint cooperation.

The industrial platform strives to provide opportunities for domestic industries in the Gulf region, especially the heavyweights of international competition.

A joint cooperation agreement has been signed between the FGCCC and the Business Portal Foundation to work on Chambers publications and the technological development of specialized platforms that support digital transformation in the Gulf market and to establish specialized platforms that support owners companies and private sector investors in GCC countries.

Mohammed Al-Jabri, CEO of the Business Sector Gate Foundation in the United Arab Emirates and founding partner of the platform, confirmed that work is underway to establish eight more specialized platforms for private sector institutions in GCC states.

The platform offers more than two million consumers in GCC countries access to the first online exhibition of Gulf products.

It should be noted that a specialized app for purchasing products made in GCC states will be launched by the end of April.

Available in Arabic and English, the app will give users the option to purchase any of the products featured on the online industry portal.

The newly launched platform will also publish an annual report that will include updates on industry sectors in each GCC state. It will serve as an official benchmark for the industrial sector in the GCC.
