Ducati unveiled the Pro-III electric scooter, touting the latest micro-mobility offering as âthe most technically advancedâ. Ducati Pro-III is equipped with a token which allows the owner to start the vehicle simply by bringing it closer to the screen. This, says Ducati, ensures that the vehicle is only used by the person with the chip. To start the e-scooter all you have to do is bring the NFC token to the screen and wait for the ‘pass’ sign to appear, and you are good to go.
The Pro-III is powered by a 350 W motor and a battery with a capacity of 468 Wh, which can cover up to 50 km on a single charge. The battery can be fully charged in about nine hours. The vehicle is priced at 799 euros (approximately Rs. 68,400).
The Ducati Pro-III’s 3.2-inch LED display can help manage several functions, including the choice between four driving modes: 6 km / h, 15 km / h, 20 km / h and 25 km / h . The USB port on it allows the rider to charge smartphones or other devices on the go. The built-in app, available on Android and iOS, allows the owner to continuously monitor vehicle performance and location.
The owner can also request help in real time via the chat. For added stability and comfort, the vehicle is fitted with 10-inch puncture-proof tubeless tires. It has front and rear disc brakes and LED lights. The frame is made of magnesium alloy and the vehicle weighs a maximum of 100 kg.
